Home-made facial masks, all natural and almost for free

MY FAVORITE VEGAN FACIAL MASKS, HOME MADE; ORGANIC; NATURAL AND ALMOST FOR FREE
When I look at the cosmetic advertisements and cosmetic shops, I often wonder how we girls get manipulated by the industry. For more than 2 years now, I am making my own facials, scrubs and peelings, made out of products which I would also eat. I only apply products on my sensible face skin which I would also eat. Or who wants to smear parabens, aluminum, alcohol and toxic perfumes on their face, which are, most of the time, over prized and animal tested. Making your own facial masks is super easy, is a lot of fun and costs you almost nothing.
MY TOP 3 (almost vegan)
Swellings & tired eyes
Turmeric-honey-coffee scrub
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 tea spoon organic honey
1 tea spoon coffee grounds
rinse your face with warm water to open the pores. Mix all ingredients in the palm of your hand.
Watch out! The color of turmeric stays everywhere! Apply the mix around your puffy eyes or on the whole face. Leave for at least 7 minutes. Rub the dry coffee gently and rinse well with warm water. Massage some organic coconut oil into your skin.
Dry skin & black heads
Avocado-lemon-brown sugar mask 1 tablespoon avocado
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 dashes lemon
As you don´t need a lot of avocado for the mask, I always wait until I or my roomies eat avocado and then take the peal and seed and clean it very well from all the avocado meat. This should give you enough mass for the mask. Mix with lemon and sugar and apply on your rinsed, clean face. Let the mixture soak into your skin for at least 10 minuets ( best if you lay down and put a towel on your face). Rinse with warm water and put some rose water on your skin at the end.
Pale winter skin
Red beet-carrot tonic
Every time I cook beets or carrots I put the peals aside to use them for this amazing tonic, which brings a vivid red tone to pale skin. It also firms the sink and activates the blood circulation.
All you need to do: toss the peals into your blender, add a dash of olive oil, take a cotton pad and apply the red liquid on your face evenly 2-3 times. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash your red face softly with warm water.
