Fit & Balanced with Intermittent Fasting

INTERMITTENT FASTING, THE WAY TO HEALTH, HAPPINESS AND BALANCED MOOD
Talking about fasting I was always the first one to be talked into a new technique or practice - yes I do love fasting, I love the highs it gives me, the control over my body and mind, I love to talk about it and exchange my experiences with other fasting-freaks.
When I was 19 I started to try all the different things with fasting and how my body would react to it, sometimes with great `success´ more often I failed and ended up frustrated and with loads of cookies. Not good.
When I found intermittent fasting, I found a method to change my approach to food and eating habits. Intermitting fasting became part of my overall wellbeing, my daily life.
I re-learned conscious eating, actually I learned to eat consciously for the first time in my life. I gained more awareness to the food and my body sensations such us hunger, stuffing, craving and over-eating. Through intermittent fasting I feel more healthy, strong, fit and balanced.
THE TWO INTERMITTENT FASTING METHODS
You choose a fix day of the week for your 24hour fasting
or
that is how I do it, I chose a certain eating-fasting period throughout the day, which should suit your lifestyle, in terms of taking time to cook, to eat and to relax after the meal
For me the most suitable time of the day is around noon, so I chose my eating-gap from 11.00am -15.00pm. This gap is also a very powerful time of Agni (Sanskrit), your digestive fire, which means eating during these hours makes it easy for my system to split down the food and digest it without loosing lots of energy, getting tired or accumulating lots of Ama (Sanskrit), which means toxic, undigested food, like the body produces when eating late at night.
MY FASTING ROUTINE
My meals contain fibers like rice or quinoa, good fats, veggies and fresh salad, this combination of ingredients helps to stay without hunger for many hours. Fresh herbs and wide range of spices help the digestive acids to cut the food and keep your meals exotic-exciting.
I tend to eat big portions as I work out a lot, run around all day and need to fuel my brain and guts with good, nourishing food.

GOOD TO KNOW - INTERMITTENT FASTING TIPS
Being stuck in a fasting-crisis is just as normal as the enthusiastic fasting feelings yet as you don´t forbid yourself meals or certain foods this doesn´t occur a lot in intermittent fasting. The starvation during regular fasting practices helps to detox in the short run when done right, with intermittent fasting the effects might be less, yet more sustainable. Therefor intermittent fasting is a way to change the eating rituals and to guarantee long lasting medical benefits.
My resumé on intermittent fasting:
I learned to understand the difference between `being hungry` and ´emotional eating`
I eat more consciously and with more awareness
I chew better, I taste more, I feel the food
The food makes me happy, full and healthy
Less snacking, less sweets, less over-eating
