My Pecan Nut Butter Recipe
Lately I am so into nut butters, because I discovered how easy they are to make and how much cheaper. While they cost a fortune in the stores, it is much more convenient to buy all ingredients and
start the nut butter production at home. On top of that, it is so much fun to create new flavors with the butters. Adding a touch of vanilla or rather some salt and chili? Nut butters are a healthy way to include healthy fats into a plant-based diet and they are so convenient, used as dips, spreads, sauces or simply to spoon...

YOU NEED
for apprx. 350ml
1 glas jar and lit
300 g organic pecan nuts
50 ml coconut oil
50 ml raw cacao powder
1 tea spoon cinnamon
THE MAKING
Wash and dry the glas jar
Make sure you have a strong blender or a food processor
Toss the pecan nuts in a pan and roast them slightly
Let them cool down and put them in your blender / food processor
Add the coconut oil, cacao and cinnamon
Start the blender very low, it may take up to 15 min to make the butter
Blend slowly and don't put the speed to high
Keep going until the nuts are blended into a smoothy oil butter
Take the jar and pour the butter into it.
Keep the nut butter in the freezer and it will last for min. 10 days

MY TIP: if you like it crunchy and sweet and some cacao nibs at the end and blend only very briefly to keep a crunchy texture
