WHAT ARE GRAVITY COLONICS ?
The gravity method is the original method of colon hydrotherapy. It is a technique that relies on gravity for the flow of water, rather than pressure. The natural peristaltic motion of the colon is activated once the water enters the body. Through abdominal massage, stimulation of reflex points, cleaning and hydrating the colon, the therapist assists the flow of the session. Hydrotherapy cleans the blood, stimulates the immune system, removes toxins and acidity.
IS IT PAINFUL TO GET A COLONIC ?
Treatments usually feel very relieving and therapeutic. Although treatments can get intense if the body is going trough release of old matter or a lot of gas. Sometimes it is also emotional blockages which we work through and might cause discomfort, but never pain.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A COLONIC ?
Colonics create space in your system for greater detox and healing. When your colon is congested or clogged, waste backs up in your whole body. When the colon gets cleared, everything that has been backed up can also be eliminated. The liver, gall bladder, spleen and kidneys will start to dispose of toxins into the large intestine and start functioning more efficiently. Also a clean colon will help with absorption of nutrients from food. Regular colonics and a clean diet will promote:

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED ?
This depends on your health goals and on your health history. The minimum we suggest is a colonic quarterly. Monthly sessions will start to amp up your health and over all well being.
HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE COLONIC ?
Most clients feel elevated and go right back to their daily life, work or even the gym directly after their session. Sometimes a treatment can require some relaxation afterwards. Listening to your body's specific needs is the most important thing.
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY SESSION ?
There is no strict rule, however the session might flow more easily if you include more fresh greens and green juices into your diet one to three days before your appointment. Vegetable fibre has the ability to loosen the matter in your bowels, and that will help to release matter more easily during your treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I EAT AFTER THE SESSIONS ?
The best food after a treatment are fresh juices and fruits or a light soup around 3 hours after your session. Mind salty and heavy foods and be careful with over eating, as that can cause some serious stomach discomfort. When we feel empty, the mind wants to fill the empty space, and this can be challenging. This is a great way to work on mindful eating and approaching a new feeling of when to feel full and satisfied.
WILL THE COLONIC WASH AWAY MY GOOD BACTERIA ?
NO, this a complete myth. Just as drinking a glass of water won't wash out the good bacterias of your mouth, colonics won't wash out good bacterias from your gut. By cleaning your colon from gas, mucus and matter, we are creating a clean environment where we invite "good" bacteria to thrive. On the contrary retaining decayed fecal matter and gas will increase the growth of unwanted bacteria.
DOES A COLONIC HELP YOU LOOSE WEIGHT ?
Most of us have up to 7kg of fecal matter stuck in the colon. In the beginning when your colon will be cleaned out, you will loose some of this weight. Yet colonics are not a tool to lose weight. Rather, work on implementing a clean diet and enough workout into your life, together with regular colon hydrotherapy, this will lead to consistent and prolonged weight loss and a more conscious approach to our body.
CAN I DO A COLONIC WHEN I AM PREGNANT ?
Colonics can be done during pregnancy AFTER the first trimester. However, if you never had a colonic before, we recommend not to introduce a deep cleanse as such during this phase of your life.
CAN I DO A COLONIC WHEN I HAVE MY PERIOD ?
You absolutely can. However, this is a personal choice. Please inform your therapist if you currently have your period. From my experience, colonics help with menstrual cramps and can even make your period come sooner.
